Education and Programs
As important as it is to preserve natural spaces in Demarest, that aim remains secondary to the primary purpose of the Demarest Nature Center Association: to foster an environmental ethic in its citizens. Since its founding, the DNCA has started countless programs and initiatives to realize this goal.

Sunday, June 9:
Breakfast in the Woods! Moved from Saturday to Sunday Serving breakfast 9 to 11a.m., next to the Imaginative Playground in Wakelee Field. Live music! With free made-to-order omelettes, bagels, coffee, O.J., etc. Announcing DNC Photo Contest winners at 10:30, followed by a live animal show.
Sat., Oct. 12
Craft Show at Oktoberfest, Duck Pond, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The happiest day of the year in Demarest! Excellent crafts for sale, German and Korean food, canoe rides, inflatable rides for the little kids, etc. Rain date Oct. 19.
